南非斯坦陵布什大学中国研究中心（孔子学院）

    经中国国家汉办的授权和批准，中国厦门大学与南非斯坦陵布什大学于2008年1月17日在厦门大学签署了《合作建设斯坦陵布什大学孔子学院执行协议》。

     Authorized and approved by HanBan, PRC, the Implementation Agreement to jointly establish a Confucius Institute at Stellenbosch University in South Africa under the cooperate between Xiamen University of China and Stellenbosch University of South Africa was reached on 17, Jan. 2008 in Xiamen University.     

    南非斯坦陵布什中国研究中心是中国政府与南非政府2004年共同签署协议建立的。双方政府同意该中心即孔子学院所在地。

    The Centre for Chinese Studies (CCS) based at Stellenbosch University, South Africa, was jointly established by the PRC and South African Governments during the Bi-national Commission of 2004. It was agreed by both Governments that the CCS is home to the Confucius Institute.      

    发展目标：

    进一步加强中国与南非在教育领域的合作，促进和发展南非社会的汉语能力，增进两国人民的相互理解和友谊。

     Vision:

    To enhance educational cooperation between China and South Africa, to develop Chinese language ability in South Africa, to promote mutual understanding and friendship between people of the two countries.     

    任务：

    1. 举办大学汉语授课和公共汉语教学；

    2. 向社会人士提供汉语培训以及中文教师的教学能力培训，并组织实施汉语作为外语教学能力认定测试；

    3. 组织为推广汉语和传播中国文化的展览、会议、出版、演出或竞赛活动；

    4. 组织实施汉语水平考试（HSK)及开发实施其他适合当地需求的汉语考试；

    5. 为有意到中国留学的人员提供咨询服务；

    6. 开展关于中国语言、文化、商业、及经济方面的各项学术研究工作，并积极进行传播；

    7. 促进双方学校间的学生和学术双向交流；

    8. 接待中国政府和学术界人员来访，举办研讨会或相关活动，以促进两国之间关系；

    9. 为公、私企业或其他机构提供关于中国语言、文化、商业方面的咨询服务；

    10. 根据个人或组织需要提供中国相关事务培训。     

    Missions:

    A.      Teaching Chinese language and Chinese culture to university students as well as the public.

    B.      Providing Chinese language and culture training for the public, professional training for teachers of Chinese as a Foreign Language and administering examinations to certify teachers.

    C.      Sponsoring exhibitions, meetings, publications, performances or competitions for the purpose of promoting the usage of Chinese language and promotion of Chinese culture.

    D.      Organizing HSK tests and developing Chinese language examinations that meet local market needs.

    E.      Advise any persons interested in studying in China.

    F.      Conducting academic research and disseminating knowledge on language, culture, business and economic relating to China

    G.     Promoting and facilitating two-way exchanges of students and academics between Party A and Party B.

    H.      Hosting academic and Government delegations from the PRC, as well as organizing seminars and related activities for these delegations for the purpose of promoting South Africa-PRC relations.

    I.         Providing consulting services to public and private companies and organizations on language, cultural, business issues relating to China.

    J.       Provide custom-made training courses to interested persons and organizations on China-related subject matter.
