埃及开罗大学孔子学院

　　    开罗大学与北京大学有着长期的友好关系，1986年两校即签署了校际交流协议。2007年11月29日，北京大学与开罗大学签署了合作建设孔子学院的执行协议，并举行了隆重的孔子学院揭牌仪式。

    Cairo University has a long history of friendly relations with Peking University, that is, in 1986 the two universities signed the inter-university exchange agreement. On November 29, 2007, Cairo University and Beijing University signed an agreement on the cooperation on the establishment of Confucius Institute and held a grand opening ceremony.

    开罗大学孔子学院组织师生到旅游景点实地考察，并克服困难自主编写教材，开设了汉语导游强化班。所开设的汉语初级班、汉语口语初、中级强化班也受到欢迎。经过2-3个月的学习，学员们在结业仪式上以文艺表演的形式汇报了自己的学习成果，开罗大学孔子学院院长、文学院院长和中国驻埃使馆教育专员为学员颁发了结业证书和奖品。新学年，汉语初级A班、B班已开课，书法班、导游班、口语班正在招生之中。

    The Confucius Institute organized teachers and students to visit tourist attractions and set up a Chinese training course for tourist guides. The Chinese course for beginners, the courses for spoken Chinese were also popular among students. At the closing ceremony of these courses after 2 or 3 months of training, students gave performance to show to others their achievements of training. The director of the Confucius Institute, the dean of the college of humanities and arts and the Commissioner of Education session of the Chinese Embassy in Egypt awarded certificates and prizes to the students on the ceremony. In the new academic year, the Chinese elementary class A and B were offered and the calligraphy course, the course for tours guides and the spoken Chinese course will be opened soon. 

    除开设各种语言班之外，开罗大学孔子学院还将举办中国文化月、孔子学院之家等活动。随着语言文化活动的开展，该孔子学院在非洲正在产生越来越大的影响。

   In addition to the variety of language courses, the Confucius Institute will also hold activities, such as the Chinese Culture Month, the Confucius Institute Family, etc. With language and cultural activities, the Confucius Institute has an increasing impact on Africa.

    开罗大学孔子学院将本着友好、合作、互利、共赢的宗旨，作友谊的使者，文化交流的桥梁，为使中国和埃及两个古老民族成为新世纪合作的典范而努力工作。

    The Confucius Institute will act as a messenger of friendship and a bridge of cultural exchanges on the basis of friendship, cooperation and mutual benefit. Members of the Confucius Institute will work hard for China and Egypt so that the two ancient peoples will become a model of cooperation in the new century.
