肯尼亚内罗毕大学孔子学院

    内罗毕大学孔子学院是中国教育部周济部长和肯尼亚教育部长乔治赛托蒂共同签署的。经中国国家汉语国际推广领导小组办公室批准，由天津师范大学和内罗毕大学共同承办，是非洲第一家孔子学院。2005年12月19日，内罗毕大学孔子学院正式揭牌宣告成立，她的诞生拉开了非洲孔子学院的序幕被评价为中肯教育合作与交流的里程碑。

    The agreement of establishing the Confucius Institute at University of Nairobi was signed by Mr. Zhou Ji, the Minister of Ministry of Education, China, and Mr. George Saitoti, Minister of Education, Science and Technology, Kenya. Approved by Office of Chinese Language Council International, the CIUON, the first Confucius Institute in Africa, was established jointly by Tianjin Normal University and the University of Nairobi. On Dec.19th, 2005, the Opening Ceremony of CIUON was held, which became a milestone of Educational Cooperation between China and Kenya.

    内罗毕大学孔子学院建设理念是“友谊、合作、发展、共赢”。

    The philosophy of CINOU is “Friendship, Cooperation, Development, and Win-Win”.

    2008年度，内罗毕大学孔子学院一共开设8个汉语培训（选修课）教学班，总人数达231人。本年度已有一个高级班、一个中级班结业，2008年获得单科培训证书的学生有32人。

    In 2008, CINOU issued 8 Chinese Courses (including selectable) with 231 students. In this semester, we’ve already finished the teaching programs for one senior and one middle level class. There are 32 students got their certificates for the language training.

    内罗毕大学孔子学院始终重视文化活动的组织，文化活动采用特讲和生动的实践活动相结合的方式进行。新北京新奥运特讲、中国重要传统节日特讲和系列文化实践活动，深深吸引了当地青年学生，2008年举办各类文化活动近80次，参加学生人数达 6000多人次。

    The CINOU always emphasize the culture activities, which are performed whether in practical activities or lectures. The lectures on Beijing Olympic Games 2008 and the important traditional festivals attracted the students greatly. We performed about 80 culture activities and the participants amounts to 6,000.
