埃及苏伊士运河大学孔子学院

    苏伊士运河大学孔子学院在孔子学院总部（国家汉办）的领导和支持下，由中国华北电力大学与埃及苏伊士运河大学合作建设。2007年3月，国家汉办主任许琳与苏伊士运河大学副校长阿里•扎亚特签署合作意向书。2008年4月1日，苏伊士运河大学孔子学院在埃及伊斯梅利亚市正式揭牌成立。
    Under the leadership and support of the Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban), the Confucius Institute at Suez Canal University was jointly constructed by North China Electric Power University in China and Suez Canal University in Egypt. The intention agreement of cooperation to build the Confucius Institute at Suez Canal University was signed by Ms. Xu Lin, director-general of Hanban, and Prof. Ali El-Zayat, vice-president of Suez Canal University. The unveiling ceremony of the Confucius Institute at Suez Canal University was held in Ismailia, Egypt on April 1, 2008.

主要课程与活动

   2007年12月-2008年2月，80名埃及民众和学生在苏伊士运河大学孔子学院分两期接受了初级汉语培训，并且已经顺利结业，每期60学时。中国驻埃及大使参加了隆重的结业典礼并颁发结业证书。
   2008年5月底至7月初，4名埃及社会人士在孔子学院接受了为期60学时的旅游汉语培训，并且已经顺利结业。
   2007年9月-2008年6月底，苏伊士运河大学旅游系17名学生在孔子学院分三个班圆满完成汉语作为第二种外语的培训，每个班100学时，并且已经顺利结业。
   2008年10月-11月，100名毕业生分3个班在孔子学院接受汉语培训，每个班60学时，并将于2008年11月底结业。

   近期还将举办针对苏伊士运河管理局工作人员的初级汉语培训班。

   以上汉语国际推广活动得到了伊斯梅利亚省电视台、今日中国阿语版等媒体的热点关注和报导。

   目前，苏伊士运河大学孔子学院正在积极筹划2009年度面向埃及民众举办更多的基础汉语、初级汉语、中级汉语培训班，师资汉语培训班，旅游汉语培训班，商务汉语培训班，管理汉语培训班以及富有特色的中国文化推广活动。

    Courses and activities

    Two elementary Chinese courses were held successfully for eighty Egyptian students and social personnel from December 2007 to February 2008, and each course covered 60 school hours. The Chinese ambassador to Egypt attended the completion ceremony of these courses and awarded the certificates to the participants.

   A tourism Chinese course for four Egyptian social personnel was held smoothly from late May to early July 2008, which covered 60 school hours.
Three Chinese courses as second foreign language for 17 students from the Tourism Department of Suez Canal University were held successfully from September 2007 to late June 2008. Each course covered 100 school hours.
Three elementary Chinese courses for 100 graduate students were started in October 2008 and will be finished in late November 2008. Each course covers 60 school hours.

   An elementary Chinese course for the employees of Suez Canal Administration Bureau will be held recently.

   All the above activities have received special care, support and report from the news agencies, such as Ismailia Provincial TV station and China Today (Arabic Edition).

   At present, the Confucius Institute at Suez Canal University is making more fruitful blueprint for the year 2009. More basic, elementary and intermediate Chinese courses will be held. At the same time, more tourism, business and management Chinese courses as well as high-quality Chinese courses for potential Chinese language teachers will be held. In addition, the Chinese cultural activities will be also promoted.
