　　One of the brightest young mezzo-sopranos on the current operatic scene, Ning Liang has already been heard in many of the world’s leading opera houses. Ms. Liang received a Master Degree in Music from the Julliard School in New York and was a member of the American Opera Center.

　　Ms. Liang is a winner of the Metropolitan Opera National Council Competition, the Mirjam Helin Competition, the Musician’s Emergency Competition, the Rosa Ponselle International Vocal Competition, and the Luciano Pavarotti Competition.

　　Her European career started from the Hamburg State Opera and Vienna State Opera. She has sung Idamantes in Idomeneo at Teatro La Scala where she also sang Suzuki in Madame Butterfly. Her debut at the Metropolitan Opera New York was Octavian in Rosen Kavalier, which was broadcast worldwide.

　　Ms. Liang is active as concert and recital singer as well. She has been working together with Giuseppe Sinopoli, Gary Benti, Ricaardo Muti, Sir Conlin Davis, Christian Thielemann, Eliahu Inbal, Peter Schreier, Gerd Albrecht and James Conlon.
